Dr. Faler was born and raised in Hattiesburg, MS and grew up working summers in his father’s periodontal practice where he gained an early interest in dentistry. After graduating from Mississippi State University in 1993 with a BS in Biology, he went to dental school at UAB School of Dentistry in Birmingham, AL where he met his wife, Maria. In 1997, he graduated from dental school and immediately began a 3 year residency in periodontics. During residency, he was selected as the Research Fellow in the UAB Department of Periodontics Research Clinic and also won a research scholarship from the Department of Oral Biology. He received a Masters in Dentistry from UAB Graduate School, and a Certificate of Residency in Periodontics from the UAB Department of Periodontics and the Birmingham VA Medical Center in 2000.
After his postdoctoral training, he moved back to his hometown of Hattiesburg and began practicing with his father.
In 2003, he, his wife, and his Miniature Schnauzer, Lucas, moved to Atlanta, GA. Since then, Dr. Faler has practiced periodontics in the metro Atlanta area with a group specialty office. In 2010, he opened Eagles Landing Periodontics in Stockbridge. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is also an adjunct professor at UAB Department of Periodontics.
The Falers moved to Senoia in 2012, this time with their young daughter, Isabella, and their miniature schnauzer, Layla.
In his free time, Dr. Faler enjoys cooking, hunting, going to their lake house, and spending time with family.
